What Sets Us Apart
Dr. Loretta Roberts has been trained by the world famous Dr. Braun Cosmetic injector.
Fine lines and Wrinkles are a natural part of the aging process. They occur most frequently in areas exposed to the sun, such as the face, neck, back of the hands and forearms. Over time, skin gets thinner, drier and less elastic. Ultimately, this causes wrinkles - either fine lines or deep furrows. In addition to sun exposure, premature aging of the skin is associated with smoking, heredity and skin type (higher incidence among people with fair hair, blue-eyes and light skin).
Treatment for wrinkles runs the gamut from topical creams and moisturizers to cosmetic procedures. Some common medical treatments are:
- Alpha-hydroxy acids, preparations made from "fruit acids" that produce subtle improvements in the appearance of wrinkles.
- Antioxidants, creams consisting of Vitamins A, C and E and beta-carotene that improves the appearance of wrinkles and provides some additional sun protection.
- Vitamin A Acid, which helps alleviate some of the signs of aging, including mottled pigmentation (e.g., liver spots), roughness and wrinkling.
The best prevention for wrinkles is to keep the skin moisturized and use sunscreen to prevent additional damage from the sun.
Injections and Fillers
Hyaluronic Acid is a natural component of the body that works to hold moisture in your cells while increasing the elasticity, durability and radiance of your skin. Clear gel hyaluronic acid injections pump up the skin, fill in wrinkles, and offer a youthful, refreshed and smooth look. It is a naturally occurring part of the substance of the body that helps cushion and lubricates the skin.
One of the most popular forms of treatment for reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and create smoother, younger skin is injections. In an office-based procedure, the physician uses fine needles to insert the filler into the skin to add volume, replace collagen and/or stimulate natural collagen and new skin cell growth.
A host of different types of fillers are available. You will need to have a consultation about the advantages and disadvantages of each for your desired results, the area being treated and how deeply the problem occurs in the layers of the skin.

Chemical peels are used to treat facial skin problems ranging from fine lines and wrinkles, dry patches and sun-damaged skin to deep folds, acne scars and pigmentation problems. Generally, chemicals applied to the face dissolve layers of skin to reveal newer, tighter and more youthful layers.
Facial peels are one of the oldest cosmetic procedures in the world, and were performed in ancient times, to help people achieve smoother, more beautiful skin. Today, peels are popular because they offer nearly immediate results and can be performed in a clinic. Peels not only improve texture of the skin, they reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scarring, and uneven pigmentation.
What is Glycolic Acid?
Glycolic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from sugar cane. It is the smallest of all AHAs and easily penetrates the skin to help shed the uppermost layer of dead cells. It also promotes cell turnover, allowing healthier cells to move closer to the skin's surface, leaving it smoother, younger and healthier looking. A Glycolic peel also is known as a Chemical Peel is the treatment in which a glycolic acid solution is used to remove the damaged outer layers of the skin. Glycolic peels are used to reduce or eliminate the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scarring and uneven pigmentation, or to simply give your skin more brilliance and glow. These peels are also extremely effective in reducing oil production in the skin, in turn helping with mild to severe acne.
What is Salicylic Acid?
Salicylic acid is a member of the Beta-hydroxy acid group. It is one of the latest products designed to improve the appearance of aging skin and treatment of pigmentation. Salicylic peels not only treat the surface of the skin but also promote exfoliation in the cells lining the sebaceous glands. By doing this we are able to exfoliate the skin at a deeper level and rejuvenate the cells much more productively. Beta peels are used to rejuvenate the skin and help with oil production, fine lines and wrinkles and are extremely successful in improving uneven pigmentation.
Acne is a widespread and socially frustrating condition, it is estimated to affect close to ten percent of the population. Acne can cause long-term physical and emotional scarring if not treated in its early stages. There is no cure for acne and also no easy solution, but with the right physician and a plan that involves never giving up, patients can be breakout free.
Our plan for all of our acne patients is to find a combination of the appropriate medications and combine them with topical treatments both at home and in our clinic. We never want to lose touch with our patients so we recommend they are in the clinic couple of weeks to monitor the treatment.
Blue Light is an FDA approved narrow-band, high- intensity blue-light that kills acne-causing bacteria in the skin. It can be used to treat inflammatory acne as well as patients that have few breakouts a month. Patients receive blue light therapy in increments. Generally, four to eight sessions are given over a four week period, and each session takes about 15 to 20 minutes. Side effects tend to be mild and most patients can continue with their day. Patients can have immediate improvement but most see results after the second treatment.
Treating acne is a relatively slow process; there is no overnight remedy. Treatments include:
- Benzoyl Peroxide. Used in mild cases of acne, benzoyl peroxide reduces the blockages in the hair follicles.
- Oral Antibiotics. Used to treat any infection in the pores.
- Tretinoin. A derivative of Vitamin A, tretinoin helps to unplug the blocked-up material in whiteheads/blackheads. It has become a mainstay in the treatment of acne.
- Extraction. Removal of whiteheads and blackheads using a small metal instrument that is centered on the comedown and pushed down, extruding the blocked pore.
Skin Rejuvenation/ Photo Facials
There are many ways that the skin can look more brilliant and youthful without having surgery. Youth is something that has been wanted by most people for thousands of years; Cleopatra is a prime example of this. Now with modern technology, we are able to perform these youthful treatments with little to no downtime.
Pigmentation is a problem that many people face; this can range from a simple brown spot too large patches on the face known as Melasma. For the longest time there was not much that could be done for pigmentation but now with the new technology known as light treatments, it is one of the more common cosmetic treatments today. This technology heats the melanin in the lesion and causes it to break up. The melanin fragments are then absorbed by the body and either reduced in color or gone. You may need multiple treatments to achieve a satisfactory result.
Flushing of the face has been a problem for many people, and so many of them have been unaware that there is an answer. With the latest technology, we are able to treat most Vascular skin problems, ranging from small vessels around the nose to Port Wine Stain birthmarks. Most conditions excluding vessels will need multiple treatments and in most cases will need maintenance treatments annually. Our technology at Allure Medi Spa is the latest most effective way to treat any unwanted redness or vessels.
Rosacea is a chronic skin condition that causes facial redness, acne-like pimples, visible small blood vessels on the face, swelling and/or watery, irritated eyes. This inflammation of the face can affect the cheeks, nose, chin, forehead or eyelids. More than 14 million Americans suffer from rosacea.
Hair Removal with Light therapy is a safe and effective way to permanently remove/reduce those unwanted and uncomfortable hairs. Using quick and safe bursts of light, involving no downtime, you can continue with all of your regular activities immediately after treatment. This light is designed to selectively treat only hair follicles, leaving surrounding tissue untouched.
How does pulsed light work?
During the procedure, the pigment within the hair absorbs the light and converts it into heat. The hair is used to transmit this heat into the hair follicle, which it destroys, without damaging the epidermis. Week hair follicles will go away permanently and stronger follicles will produce a new hair. This is the reason multiple treatments are required.
